Vorlan
antagonistVorlan
The man in Chandler’s Gray who was watching before the party even knew they were being watched.
Canon Facts
- Cold Iron Consortium Field Observer embedded in The Hollows
- First contacted the party in Session 03 to warn them: “The Consortium is everywhere”
- Issued the warning as a test — observing their reaction to the Consortium’s name
- Has logged Briony’s and Morrigan’s magical signatures after the “Charm Person” failure at the Inn
- Reports to Caspian Alastor (TSL patriarch) via Sending stone
- Wears Chandler’s Gray — the field uniform of Consortium operatives
Description
- Visuals: Mid-height, forgettable face. The kind of man you couldn’t describe in a lineup. Chandler’s Gray coat. No weapons visible, but moves like someone who has used them.
- Voice/Mannerisms: Precise and unhurried. Every word chosen. Speaks in half-truths delivered as if they are kindnesses.
Roleplay Traits
- Ideal: Order. Wild magic is a wound the world doesn’t know it has.
- Bond: The Consortium’s ideological mission — true believer, not a mercenary.
- Flaw: Believes he can see the truth others miss, which makes him arrogant about incomplete information.
Background
A genuine ideological member of the Consortium (unlike most Atlas agents who are just hired muscle). His “warning” to the party was designed to gauge whether they were useful, dangerous, or ignorable. His report on their signatures — particularly Morrigan’s Drow/Fey-touched nature — has moved them into the “high priority collection” category.
Mechanics / Stats
- Combat-capable but prefers not to fight directly. Uses information as a weapon.
- Carries a Sending Stone (Consortium network).
- Cold Iron gear: Resistant to fey magic effects.
