The Nebuchadnezzar (The Neb)
The party’s first home on the water — and now a prize hull in an Atlas drydock.
Canon Facts
- The party’s allied ship, a Tropic Star Lines (TSL) contract vessel
- Captain: Captain Morena Moray
- Bosun: Zyla Vane (he/him)
- Originally carrying Clarion cargo in the hold (Atlas provisionings) — the party discovered the single lead-lined crate in S02
Her Voyage
| Session | Event |
|---|---|
| S01 | Party boards her at Tide’s End. |
| S02 | Party abandons her by dinghy after the Clarion Stalker fight. |
| S04 | Party retakes her at the Iron Docks (The Hollows) and escapes the Atlas blockade. |
| S05–S06 | She carries the party to Watchtower Cay and helps them escape it. |
| S06–S07 | Sails to The Drift. |
| S10 | The party leaves The Drift aboard the Shadow Sprinter (Longstride’s boat). The Neb stays at The Drift with Moray and Zyla. |
| Post-S10 | She leaves The Drift and is intercepted by Atlas ironclads at the Battle of the Doldrums. Moray and Zyla captured; the ship impounded in the industrial drydocks at Whispering Deep. |
Corrections: she was never impounded at The Hollows after S03, and she is not “abandoned at The Drift.” The canonical battle name is the Battle of the Doldrums — “Battle of Razor Shoals” is retired.
Overview
A mid-sized merchant vessel under TSL contract, built for cargo and passenger haul across the archipelago. Wooden hull, canvas sails, modified cargo hold. The party lived aboard her from Sessions 01–07.
Atmosphere
- Visuals: Well-maintained despite her age. Navy-trimmed hull. TSL flag. Smells of tar, salt, and old canvas.
- Current State: Battle-damaged and under joint Atlas/Consortium guard in the industrial drydocks at Whispering Deep.
Key NPCs
- Captain Morena Moray — Captured at the Doldrums; held at Whispering Deep
- Zyla Vane — Bosun; captured at the Doldrums alongside Moray
Points of Interest
The Forward Hold
Where the Clarion crate was discovered in S02. Now empty.
The Captain’s Cabin
Moray’s domain. Party had access but respected it.
Player Knowledge (End of S11)
All the party knows is that Morrigan’s Sending shell to Zyla went dead cold. That is it. They do not know about the Battle of the Doldrums, the captures, or the impoundment. The Doldrums was staged as a distraction the players do not yet know about.
