Ironwood Atoll

Overview

A large, crescent-shaped island dominated by a forest of towering trees with bark as hard as iron. The wood is immensely valuable for ship hull plating, making it a prime target for Atlas exploitation.

Current State

• The Scar: A massive strip of clear-cut devastation where Atlas logging mechs (“Tree-Eaters”) have torn through the forest.
• The Deep Woods: The untouched interior, dark and foreboding.

Encounters / Dangers

• Atlas Logging Crew: Heavy constructs and armed guards protecting the operation.
• Iron-Bark Treants: Ancient guardians that have awakened to defend the grove. They are currently hostile to all intruders.
• Needlerats: Swarms of the mutated pests infest the underbrush, drawn by the sap of felled trees.

Resources

• Ironwood Timber: Worth 5x normal lumber. Fire-resistant and distinctively dark.
• Sap-Amber: Fossilized resin that can be used in alchemical binding agents.
